National Vanilla Ice Cream Day 2018 – July 23

This day is celebrated every year on the 23rd of July as an honor towards Vanilla ice cream which has made our lives much creamy and chilly. July is a hot and humid summer month which is why it is also proclaimed as the ice cream month because everyone loves a chilled ice cream on a hot summer day. Vanilla is the second most liked flavor of ice cream after chocolate. Vanilla flavor was first introduced by Thomas Jefferson in France. Later he introduced it in the United States. In 1780’s he wrote down his vanilla ice cream recipe which can still be found in the Library of Congress. Jefferson’s ice cream is available at Mt. Rushmore in South Dakota. The creator of the day is still unknown but we can assure you that it is someone with great love for vanilla flavor.
