The world health organization promotes International universal health coverage day every year on the 12th of December. The day was recognized by the United Nations in the Resolution A/RES/72/138. Proper health care is a right of every human being irrespective of their cast, color or race. This day was proclaimed by the United Nations with the aim to provide every individual with proper health care. It notifies the states to give the best health care to its citizens. Proper sanitation, water, hygiene and health care are a right of every individual. To deprive one of these rights is against the Charter of Human Rights that is designed by the United Nations. Health care coverage is a part of the sustainable development goals of the United Nations. WASH, UNICEF, WHO and other originations around the globe are helping the United Nations is providing everyone with proper healthcare facilities until the end of 2030.

The day is observed differently by different people. The educational institutes educate the individuals on how to avail proper health care and how it benefits them. Organizations work to provide better living conditions to the public that includes adequate water, proper sanitation, and hygiene’s services. The day is promoted through social media.
