The Arabic Language is spoken by almost 1.5 billion people around the globe. To celebrate this magnificent language the world decided to design a specific day in honor of this language. On 18th of December every year the world celebrated the world Arabic day. The date 18th of December was chosen because on this day Arabic become the 6th official language of the United Nations. The day is proclaimed by the United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization. The language is spoken in 22 member states of the United Nation. The language is quite diverse in history, art, medicine and other fields of study. Many inventions were done and recorded in this language. The day aims to celebrate the Arabic language and highlight the importance it has in the world today. People use it to exchange dialogues in everyday life.
How to observe it?
The day is observed in many ways. The educational institutes teach the young about the history of the language and promote the language. Many schools have made the learning of Arabic as a compulsory subject in their curriculums. Books and texts are written in the Arabic language all over the world nowadays.
